Boys Varsity Football · St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Hires New Head Football Coach, Robert Nickol

Akron, Ohio– St. Vincent-St. Mary High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert P. Nickol as head varsity football coach for the 2018-19 school year. Coach Nickol comes to us from the Barberton school district, where he has worked as both teacher and coach for the past several years.

Coach Nickol brings with him 13 years of coaching experience, both in football and track. He most recently served as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Barberton Magics. Coach Nickol graduated from Barberton High School in 2002 and studied Secondary Education at Kent State University. He holds a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. He will continue to teach Social Studies at Barberton High School after joining our coaching staff. Coach Nickol is excited to join the STVM community, but already feels a special connection to the Irish—his wife Jessica Conrad is a member of the STVM class of 2006. Coach Nickol and his wife have a daughter Elliana, who is 17 months, and live in Doylestown, Ohio.
